Offline sync

Offline sync is Syndik8’s mechanism for keeping a local copy of your syndicate data on your device and for syncing that copy with the server as network connectivity allows. Reads work from the local copy. Writes made offline queue locally and push to the server when the device reconnects.

Syndik8 copies most of your syndicate’s data to the device: syndicates, memberships, assets, bookings, events, usage logs, maintenance, squawks, billing schemes, transactions, expenses, payments and notifications. A few things are deliberately online-only (invites, notification preferences) because their behaviour cannot tolerate sync conflicts. Money is a halfway case: you can see what you owe and what is being collected without a connection, but every payment is made against the server, so nothing about money is ever settled by two devices disagreeing.

Offline sync is not opt-in — it is how every screen works, on every supported platform.
